「家族の住み方」家づくり　

“How the family lives”

東京郊外の住宅地に建つ家である。

かつて２軒の家が隣接していた敷地を一つにし、２世帯が分け隔てなく暮らす家を計画した。敷地は角地であり、また向かいには高架線下の広い空地がある。道を行き交う人たちからの視認性が高い位置であることから、のどかな住宅街の一つの風景となるような家を目指した。子どもたちの遊び場としての空地を残しつつ、建物配置に角度を持たせることで、南面の菜園テラス、北面の駐車スペース、正面の玄関アプローチを各面に寄り添わせている。室内は上下階を内包する豪放な吹き抜けが中心となっている。個室は各階に１部屋ずつあるが、それ以外のエリアは子どもたちが遊び、学び、育つ、広さを優先とした自由なスペースとなっている。

いずれ必要になり、不要になるかもしれない子供部屋は家族のフェーズに合わせて可変できるよう、骨格だけを形作った。回遊性がある広いキッチンとダイニングは家族の拠り所が厨房と食卓であることを示している。
また、空調設備としては、床下のアクアレイヤーを採用し、基本的にエアコン１台で快適な室内環境を維持している。

大きな気積の心地良さと温熱環境の快適性を両立させることは、このような大空間をもつ住宅において必須である。

This house is located in a residential area on the outskirts of Tokyo.

The site where two houses once stood next to each other was combined into one, and a house was planned for two families to live together without discrimination. The site is on a corner, and there is a large open space under the elevated railway opposite.The location is highly visible to people passing by, so we aimed for a house that would become part of the scenery of the tranquil residential area.The house is positioned at an angle, while leaving the open space for children to play. The vegetable garden terrace on the south side, the parking space on the north side, and the front entrance approach are close to each side. The interior is centered around a bold atrium that includes the upper and lower floors. There is one private room on each floor, but the other areas are free spaces where children can play, learn, and grow, with spaciousness being prioritized.The children’s room, which may or may not be needed at some point, was only designed as a skeleton so that it can be changed according to the family’s phase. The large kitchen and dining room, which are easy to move around in, show that the kitchen and dining table are the family’s base.

Additionally, an under-floor aqua-layer system is used for air conditioning, and a comfortable indoor environment is maintained with just one air conditioner.

Achieving both the comfort of a large air volume and a comfortable thermal environment is essential in a home with such a large space.
