Creating α home for the “beginning of child-rearing”

This project designed a home for a young couple to live in a corner of Tochigi Prefecture where a growing number of residential areas are being developed between farmland.

We placed an L-shaped building in the center of a large site, and planned to have various connections with external spaces such as the garden and garage that each building faces.

A part of the first floor has been designed as a separate approach from the family entrance, so that a small business can be started in the future.

Additionally, in the living room and dining room where family and friends gather, lauan plywood is used for the ceiling and some walls so that the wood texture can be felt along with the greenery of the garden.
