外の心地よさを家の中にも

Bring the comfort of the outdoors into your home

東京郊外の住宅地に建つ家のリノベーションである。

これまで家族が育った家を子世代へと繋ぐための改修を行なった。アウトドアが好きな家族が住まいにおいても中と外を心地よく使えるよう計画した。青い瓦の勾配屋根、ドーマ窓、暖炉の煙突など特徴的な洋風の外観はシンプルに整理し、リビングと庭との関係が近くなるように窓周りに注力して改修した。道路からの目隠しも兼ねたサンルームは物干しとして日々活躍している。動線が交差していた１階エントランスは、外部空間のような素材で仕上げ、ホールとして回遊性を持たせることで、人も風も通りやすくなった。吹き抜けだった玄関上部にはルーバー床にすることで床を広くしつつも採光と通風を確保した。2階は子世帯のスペースとし、リビングパークと名付けたアトリエ空間が中心にある。勾配を生かした天井高のある空間が居心地の良い家族の創作の場となり、子ども部屋やクローゼットへもこの部屋から繋がっていく。

家族と生活。アクティビティと道具。間取りの整理とともに計画したのが、暮らしの中で溢れていくモノたちの配置である。

積み重ねてきた家の歴史と共に混ざり合っていた生活の中のあらゆるモノを、適切な場所に計画する。

家というかたちは受け継ぎつつ、これまでの生活を見直すリノベーションだからこそ、向き合える大切な視点である。

This is a renovation of a house located in a residential area on the outskirts of Tokyo.

The renovation was carried out to connect the house where the family grew up to the next generation. The plan was made so that the family, who love the outdoors, could use the inside and outside of the house comfortably.The distinctive　Western-style exterior, with its blue tiled sloped roof, dormer windows, and fireplace chimney, was simplified and organized.The renovation focused on the windows to bring the living room closer to the garden. The sunroom, which also serves as a screen from the road, is used daily as a place to hang out laundry.The first floor entrance, where traffic lines intersected. Finished with materials similar to those of an exterior space, the circulation lines made it easier for people and breezes to pass through. The upper part of the entrance, which was previously an open void, was given a louvered floor, making the floor wider while ensuring light and ventilation. The second floor is a space for the younger family, with an atelier space called Living Park at its center.The sloped and high ceiling makes it a comfortable place for the family to create, and this room also leads to the children’s rooms and closets.

Family and life. Activities and tools. Along with sorting out the floor plan, we also planned the placement of the objects that fill our daily lives.

All the objects that had become mixed together over the history of the house were rearranged into their appropriate locations.

This is an important perspective to consider in a renovation that involves reviewing our lifestyle while retaining the form of the home.
